More beads

I've been busy in between cooking today. I made two more necklaces, one for Laura and one for myself. I made matching earings for all three crocheted necklaces. I gave Sarah hers (the purple one) early because I just couldn't stand to wait for her to see it and I am giving Laura hers tonight at dinner. I can't wait.

New Trick

Sunday Sarah and I went to the Delta Zeta Market Place at the VBC. I stopped at one beading table and talked to the designer there. She showed me how to crochet wire either by hand or with a hook. It was really easy. She told me to take three crocheted strands and then braid them together. Here's how it came out.

Check out Margaret Rose Designs.

I also crocheted with eyelash yarn and pearls these adjustable necklaces for my 5 year old niece and also 5 year old cousin. They're going to like these!

I designed this one a few days ago for someone very special. I hope to give it to her later this week (and I think she reads this blog). SURPRISE!

Tate Farms

We visited Tate Farms again this year. Warren was old enough to really enjoy it. Here's some pictures we took there.

Fall Update

Happy Saturday morning Friends! I've been away way too long!

It's been quiet and peaceful around here of late. The neighbors have settled down a bit, There are no dogs over there presently and They are keeping their thoughts to themselves. As far as when that woman goes to jail I'm still not sure. Now it seems that she has appealed and it could be a year or two before we have to deal with that all over again. I did get a call from the animal shelter asking me if I had a picture of the "dead dog" or if I could positively identify it. After an hour of searching old photographs on CDs I found not one picture of the mutt and I don't think I could identify it. Presumably the animal police have found this dog at a relative of Nick Kennedy's but proving it may not happen. Oh well. I forgot to ask the animal control officer if anybody has been charged with dog abuse after poor Tracker was found in almost starved-to-death condition. I'll look into that soon.

No more car break-ins. I guess since Sarah and I followed that fellow down the street (did I blog that?) they decided to check out a different neighborhood. Smart move.

Now the good stuff. At the end of August my son-in-law, Ricky, took leave and came home for a couple of weeks. It was good to see him. While he was here we had Parker, Warren calls him Baby Pucker, it's so cute, baptised and celebrated Warren's third birthday too.

Sarah and Ricky had professional photos done at Amber Nichole Photography here in Decatur. She did a wonderful job.
